2026/2027 CSSPS Results: Education Ministry Announces New Release Date

The Ministry of Education has announced a new date for the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results.

The placement results, which were originally scheduled to be released on Monday, August 31, 2026, will now be made available on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Ministry said the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for more time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ information through the relevant platforms.

The extension is intended to give all affected stakeholders enough time to complete outstanding requirements and ensure that eligible students are not left out of the placement process because of incomplete information.

About 20,000 students yet to complete school choices

Information from the Ministry indicates that about 20,000 qualified students had not yet had their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform.

The outstanding information involves submissions that need to be completed by Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

The additional time will allow those involved to complete the necessary processes before the placement exercise is finalised.

The CSSPS is used to place qualified students into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the country.

New date for CSSPS placement results

Students and parents who were expecting to check their placement status on August 31 will now have to wait until Friday, September 4.

The revised date provides an additional four days for outstanding submissions and data uploads to be completed.

The Ministry is therefore encouraging parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools with pending information to use the extension to complete all required processes.

Students are also advised to keep their BECE and school-selection details available so they can easily access their placement information once the results are released.

Why the delay is important

The CSSPS placement exercise is a major step for students who have completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and are seeking admission to SHS or TVET institutions.

The release of placement results helps students and families prepare for the next academic year, including admission, accommodation, uniforms, school supplies and other arrangements.

While the delay may require families to wait a little longer, the Ministry says the additional time will help ensure that students with outstanding information are given the opportunity to complete the process.

Ministry promises fair placement

The Ministry of Education has reiterated its commitment to a fair, transparent and orderly placement exercise.

It says the aim is to ensure that every qualified student has an opportunity to secure placement in an appropriate SHS or TVET institution.

With the revised release date approaching, parents, guardians and school authorities with outstanding submissions are being urged to complete them within the extended period.

When will the 2026/2027 CSSPS results be released?

The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results are scheduled to be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The original date was Monday, August 31, 2026.

Students and parents should follow official communication from the Ministry of Education and CSSPS for instructions on how to check placement status once the results are released.

The placement exercise will determine the next stage of the academic journey for thousands of Ghanaian students seeking admission into SHS and TVET institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
