Education Ministry Reschedules 2026/2027 CSSPS Placement Results to September 4

The Ministry of Education has announced a new date for the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results, giving students, parents and schools additional time to complete outstanding requirements.

The placement results, which were initially expected to be released on Monday, August 31, 2026, will now be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Ministry explained that the decision was taken following requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students' information through the relevant platforms.

The extension is expected to help ensure that qualified students are not disadvantaged because of incomplete information or pending school-selection submissions.

About 20,000 students have outstanding school choices

According to information from the Ministry of Education, approximately 20,000 qualified students had yet to have their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform.

The outstanding submissions involve data that must be completed and uploaded by Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

The Ministry said the additional period will provide the affected stakeholders with an opportunity to complete the necessary processes before the placement exercise is finalised.

This is particularly important because the CSSPS is used to place eligible students into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across Ghana.

New CSSPS placement date

Students and parents who were expecting to check their placement results on August 31 will now have to wait until Friday, September 4, 2026.

The revised schedule means the Ministry has provided an additional four days for outstanding submissions and data uploads to be completed.

The Ministry has therefore encouraged all affected parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to use the additional time to ensure that all required information is submitted within the revised period.

Students are also advised to keep their examination and school-selection details available ahead of the release of the placement results.

Why the delay matters to students

The CSSPS placement process is an important stage for students who have completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and are seeking admission to secondary or technical institutions.
